Urgent Care - Oak Cliff, Dallas, TX

A good rule of thumb to follow is: If your child or teen is dealing with an injury or health problem that isn’t life threatening but does require immediate treatment, it’s not necessary to go to the ER. Instead, simply come into our office for care. Here at Oak Cliff Children’s Clinic, we provide immediate pediatric treatment and care to kids of all ages, from babies to young adults. Our pediatrician, Dr. Kanase, has received specialized training to be able to provide individualized and tailored medical care to children and teens.

When it comes to immediate care, no appointment is necessary. Simply give us a call and let us know what’s going on. We can handle walk-in cases throughout the day. If you require care after normal office hours, we also have after-hours services to ensure that your child gets treatment whenever they need it.

One of the benefits of turning to a pediatrician for immediate care is that we already know your child and their health because we also provide regular and routine checkups and care throughout their young lives. We know whether your child is allergic to certain medications and we know if they have any chronic health problems that could be to blame for their symptoms. This means that you’ll also get safe, efficient care with us without having to talk through your child’s medical history over and over again with doctors you don’t know at local urgent care centers.

Immediate care is great for treating,

  • Flu and other respiratory infections
  • Strep throat
  • Cuts and burns
  • Insect bites
  • Strains and sprains
  • Fever
  • Pinkeye
  • Gastrointestinal problems
  • Rash
  • Allergies or asthma
  • Sports-related injuries

Serious issues such as seizures, head injuries, signs of dehydration, trouble breathing and very high fevers require emergency medical attention. In these instances, you should call 911 or go directly to your nearest ER.
